SDE - Scala+ Spark

As a Software Developer at Revrr Technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable data processing applications using Scala and Apache Spark. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Your role will also involve optimizing and refactoring existing applications to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance. Ensuring the quality of code through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in both production and non-production environments. As a mentor, you will work with junior engineers to promote best practices within the team. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable data processing applications using Scala and Apache Spark. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Optimize and refactor existing applications to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance. - Ensure the quality of code through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in our production and non-production environments. - Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team. Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of experience in software development. - Deep expertise in Scala with a strong understanding of functional programming principles. - Extensive experience with Apache Spark, including Spark SQL, DataFrames, RDDs, and NoSQL. - Solid understanding of distributed systems and data architecture. - Proficiency with build tools like sbt and dependency management. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Experience implementing RESTful web services in Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages.
