Scrum Master (AI-Augmented Agile)

As a Scrum Master in this AI-augmented development environment, your role is crucial in facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring effective team operations. You will be a servant-leader coaching the team on Scrum practices while exploring emerging ways of working using AI tools. Your focus will be on maintaining project velocity and team engagement across distributed environments through metrics-driven process adaptation and continuous learning. Key Responsibilities: - **Scrum Ceremony Scheduling & Facilitation**: - Schedule and coordinate all scrum ceremonies across multiple time zones. - Identify optimal meeting times and maintain ceremony schedules for team rhythm. - Ensure ceremonies start and end on time with clear agendas and outcomes. - Continuously evaluate ceremony effectiveness and experiment with AI-assisted preparation. - **AI-Augmented Workflow Experimentation & Optimization**: - Facilitate experiments with AI-assisted development workflows. - Track metrics on AI tool adoption, effectiveness, and team productivity. - Document successful patterns and anti-patterns for AI-leveraged work. - **Metrics & Continuous Improvement**: - Establish team metrics dashboard tracking velocity, cycle time, and quality indicators. - Conduct data-driven retrospectives and define experiments for process improvements. - Report on team metrics and process experiments to leadership with insights. - **Backlog Grooming & Preparation**: - Facilitate comprehensive backlog grooming sessions with product owners. - Ensure user stories meet criteria before being added to the sprint backlog. - Prepare grooming agendas and facilitate exploration of AI tools in story decomposition. - **Daily Standups & Team Monitoring**: - Facilitate daily standup meetings and track blocker resolution. - Maintain visibility into individual workload and team progress against sprint goals. - Adapt standup format for distributed team members and identify systemic impediments. - **Sprint Planning & Goal Setting**: - Facilitate sprint planning sessions and guide estimation discussions. - Document sprint goals, committed stories, and track sprint commitment vs. completion rates. - **Sprint Reviews & Demonstrations**: - Coordinate sprint review meetings and facilitate demonstrations to stakeholders. - Ensure acceptance criteria validation and track feedback themes for product backlog. - **Retrospectives & Team Health**: - Facilitate regular retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities. - Guide team in actionable improvement items and monitor team health indicators. In addition to the responsibilities, you should possess deep understanding of Agile principles, strong facilitation skills, data literacy, familiarity with AI tools, excellent communication skills, and experience with Agile project management tools.
