SCM Sustainability specialist

Role Overview: As a Supplier Sustainability Specialist at Hitachi Energy HVDC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's sustainability goals are met. You will work closely with the global team of Supplier Quality and Sustainability Engineers to assess and develop suppliers, provide specialist support for complex suppliers, and ensure sustainability requirements are understood and met by suppliers. Your responsibilities will include collecting sustainability data, coordinating assessment activities, and ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines. Your expertise will be key in driving supplier sustainability within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the subject matter expert in supplier sustainability, guiding Supplier Quality and Sustainability Engineers in supplier assessments. - Provide specialist support in assessing complex suppliers and contractors. - Collect sustainability data and certificates from suppliers, ensuring they are up to date. - Coordinate assessment activities with third-party sustainability assessment provider and evaluate outcomes. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity in all actions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with a Master's in Sustainability Management or equivalent experience. - 8 to 10 years of experience in sustainability within a multinational company, particularly in the energy sector. - Experience working in a global company and interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds. - Knowledge of Kaizen, 4Q, DMAIC, Gemba, Root-Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure analysis, FMEA, and proficiency in MS Office. - Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and ability to work in cross-functional and global team environments. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.,
