Job Description

The opportunity As a part of our team, you will lead strategic initiatives in Localisation, manage Tender capture strategy, and oversee a team of procurement specialists. Your primary responsibility will be to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that optimize costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. It is essential to ensure that all executions are in accordance with Company and Supply Chain Management (SCM) instructions and procedures. How you'll make an impact You will be responsible for implementing effective sourcing strategies aligned with the business strategy and regional/global Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) strategy. Your role will involve ensuring that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Collaboration with proposal, project, and category teams will be necessary to determine the necessary items for procurement during projects. Additionally, you will develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets to support the project purchasing process. Procurement activities will be under your supervision, where you will manage the planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts. Your focus will be on minimizing risks related to quality and financial exposure by following quality and commercial procedures in accordance with Company guidelines. In coordination with the Value Chain Manager, you will oversee the delivery process for specific projects to ensure that cost, quality, and delivery time meet project expectations. Leveraging CIPS category teams locally, regionally, and globally will be essential to ensure appropriate supplier selection. You will define and establish local standard agreements with major local suppliers and maintain standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives. Documentation is a critical aspect of your role, where you will document general and special conditions for use on all project purchase documents, project procurement procedures, and project procurement plans to ensure compliance. People leadership and development will also be a key responsibility, involving proper organization, staffing, skill development, and direction within the assigned area. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, while embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Your Background To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's/Master's degree with relevant years of experience in Supply Chain Management. Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
