The Assistant / Deputy Manager - Supply Chain Management (SCM) will be responsible for driving operational efficiency across the supply chain function, with a focus on production planning, materials management, procurement, logistics, and vendor coordination. The role requires strong analytical, coordination, and process improvement skills to ensure seamless material flow, timely order fulfillment, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Operations Excellence
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.
Drive lean operations and process standardization across planning, procurement, and logistics functions.
Production Planning & Coordination (PPC)
Coordinate closely with the production planning team to ensure 100% on-time order fulfillment.
Collaborate with purchase and material planning teams to ensure timely availability of materials for uninterrupted production.
Procurement, Vendor & Materials Management
Manage vendor sourcing, development, and performance evaluation to ensure quality and reliability.
Explore new vendor opportunities to strengthen the supplier base and reduce dependency risks.
Lead materials and inventory management across warehouses, ensuring stock accuracy and optimal inventory levels.
Warehouse & Logistics Management
Oversee multi-location warehouse operations and stock replenishment between warehouses.
Manage 3PL operations and monitor third-party logistics (3PL) and warehouse service providers.
Plan and execute local distribution, route optimization, and milk-run logistics to ensure timely deliveries.
Drive cost-effective logistics solutions and implement cost control strategies.
Data, Reporting & Compliance
Maintain detailed records of procurement, inventory, and logistics activities.
Generate and analyze periodic SCM reports to support management decision-making.
Review and comprehend contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to supply chain operations.
