Job Description: As the HVDC SCM Contracted Services Category Specialist, your mission is to execute and implement Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy for design and construction related services in Tenders and Projects. Your focus will be on optimizing costs, quality, and HSE while ensuring process compliance in accordance with Company, SCM, and Supply Base Management instructions and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with the SCM Contracted Services Category Manager to develop and implement the subcontracting strategy, aligning with business requirements and Company Policies. Ensure selection of subcontractors based on quality, HSE, delivery, cost, and sustainability. - Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding of agreed strategies and execute processes accordingly. - Negotiate subcontracts with subcontractors in ongoing projects as per business needs. - Drive selection of professional subcontractors in line with Category Manager's strategy, Company policies, and processes. Evaluate subcontractors' performance focusing on HSE, Quality, delivery, and cost. - Collaborate internally to define and implement new processes and tools. Clarify interface with other internal stakeholders and improve efficiency. - Prepare subcontracts for design and construction related services with Category Manager and Contract Management. Draft and develop local subcontract templates. - Identify and report risks associated with deviations from tenderers. Suggest potential mitigation actions. - Support HVDC sourcing initiatives and implement efficient execution strategies. - Assist Construction & Commissioning and Engineering function in obtaining market information for project budget setup. - Lead Procurement process, ensuring services are procured in accordance with quality, financial requirements, commercial procedures, and Company guidelines. - Foster communication internally and externally to support SCM activities and initiatives. - Systematically assess subcontractors and suppliers' strengths, performance, and capabilities. Plan and execute activities to maximize value. - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's / master's degree or minimum 10 years of working experience in Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, Contract Management, or Site Management. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
