Contact Ms. Tanisha: +919148378013 Job Summary: The Speech and Drama Coach is responsible for developing students' skills in public speaking, performance, and theatrical expression. The coach will lead drama workshops, prepare students for competitions, direct school productions, and foster a love for the performing arts within a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment. Key Responsibilities: Instruction and Coaching: Teach speech, drama, and performance techniques to students from [grade range]. Provide one-on-one and group coaching in elocution, monologues, duologues, improvisation, and stagecraft. Prepare students for speech and drama festivals, eisteddfods, and other competitions. Production Oversight: Direct or co-direct school plays, musicals, or performance showcases. Oversee auditions, casting, rehearsals, and performances. Curriculum & Planning: Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives and school goals. Integrate classical and contemporary works into the program. Student Development: Support students in building self-confidence, collaboration, and communication skills. Provide constructive feedback and individualized coaching to enhance student performance. Administration: Maintain records of student progress and participation. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and the wider school community. Organize or support school trips, events, and extracurricular programs related to performing arts. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, Communication, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in coaching speech and drama, especially in a school or youth setting. Knowledge of drama examination boards (e.g., LAMDA, Trinity, or similar) is a plus. Experience directing student performances and organizing public speaking events. Strong classroom management and communication skills.
