Job Description

Shadow Teachers works closely with special children within a mainstream classroom setting, offering personalized academic and behavioral support. The goal is to help the children learn effectively, participate in school activities, and develop independence in a structured, positive and encouraging environment.

Role & responsibilities

Assist the child in understanding classroom lessons and completing daily academic tasks
Break down learning material into simpler, manageable steps
Help the child to stay focused, organized and engaged during class activities
Provide gentle guidance on classroom behavior and social interactions
Encourage positive communication and collaboration with peers
Support the child in building confidence and self-esteem
Assist the child during school activities such as art, games, physical education, and group tasks
Ensure smooth participation in daily routines including transitions between classes
Encourage the childs involvement in co-curricular and extracurricular activities
Communicate regularly with class teachers, coordinators, and parents
Provide feedback on academic performance, behavior, and development milestones

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Passion for working with children, especially those with special needs
Patience, empathy and clear communication
Ability to maintain a calm, positive, and supportive environment
