SCADA Engineer

Role Overview: As a Scada (Oil and gas) Engineer, your main responsibility will be to monitor production operations, coordinate with field and midstream teams, and respond to operational events in real-time to ensure production integrity and optimize performance. You will be working in night shifts and will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and safety in the oil and gas upstream sector. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor production data for wells during night operations using PowerBI dashboards and ArcGIS mapping tools - Maintain surveillance of high-priority wells and respond to SCADA alarms promptly - Coordinate field activities in real-time via ArcGIS, balance resources, and dispatch support for issue resolution - Collaborate with midstream teams for production flow optimization and efficient resource allocation - Identify route optimization opportunities for day shift optimizers and field operations - Manage production flows to midstream assets, address operational issues with partners, and liaise with third-party vendors during night shifts - Triage and resolve or escalate alarms, contribute to system reliability, and collaborate on alarm rationalization using PowerBI analytics - Monitor safety events, escalate concerns as per protocol, and manage site surveillance systems for safety and security purposes Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical/Petroleum - Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in the oil & gas industry with at least 3 years in Oil & Gas Upstream operations - Experience with SCADA systems and tools like PowerBI and ArcGIS - Strong operational awareness, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure - Excellent communication skills with a focus on clear and concise messaging - Proficiency in system thinking and a mindset for continuous improvement Note: The company is a leading Indian multinational IT services and consulting firm, providing digital transformation, cloud computing, data analytics, and more to a wide range of clients across industries.
