Position: SCADA Engineer

Location: Noida (India)

Experience: 10+ Years

• Reports to the Lead Engineer (LE)
• Design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for monitoring and control of Oil & Gas operations.
• Prepare and review design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and operation manuals for SCADA systems.
• Carry out procurement activities such as MR, TBE, Vendor print review etc. for SCADA System
• Configure and program SCADA servers, workstations, and communication protocols.
• Monitor real-time data acquisition, alarm systems, and data visualization to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of SCADA systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve SCADA-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with control systems engineers and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of SCADA with DCS (Distributed Control Systems), PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other automation systems.
• Perform regular system backups, updates, and software patching.
• Support system upgrades and modifications as per project requirements.
• Ensure that SCADA systems meet safety, security, and regulatory standards, particularly within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Generate reports on SCADA system performance, alarms, and data trends for analysis and optimization.
• Perform root-cause analysis for SCADA system faults and implement corrective actions.
• Manage vendors and contractors for SCADA systems procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Assist in the development and documentation of operating procedures and system configurations.
• Provide technical support and training for end-users on SCADA systems.
• Work with vendors and third-party contractors to support SCADA software and hardware systems.
• Provide training to junior engineers and technicians on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and system performance for reporting purposes.
• Work closely with the project management team to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Interact and support with other Teams/ Departments for Detail engineering activities.
• Participate in vendor/ subcontractor meetings
• Model Review in Navis Works / Working experience in AutoCAD
• Familiarity with ISO/Quality control procedures.

Education:

A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering

Relevant certifications in SCADA systems, automation, or control systems
