SAS Administrator with DevOps Engineer

Position Overview:

SAS Administrator and DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

SAS Administration:

• Manage, maintain, and optimize SAS environments to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement best practices for SAS security, user management, and system monitoring.
• Provide support for SAS upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.

DevOps Engineering:

• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using 

  Terraform

   for scalable and secure deployments.
• Develop and manage 

  CI/CD pipelines

   using 

  GitLab

   or 

  GitHub

   to streamline software delivery processes.
• Implement and manage 

  containerization

   solutions using 

  Docker

   and 

  Kubernetes

   to orchestrate application workloads effectively.
• Integrate 

  IAM and security best practices

   to enhance system resilience and align with 

  DevSecOps principles

  .
• Optimize performance and scalability of AWS cloud environments utilizing core AWS services.

Scripting and Automation:

• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline system processes, enhance reliability, and reduce manual effort.
• Ensure performance tuning and optimization across environments.

Strategic Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, plan projects, and deliver strategic solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem Solving and Optimization:

• Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve infrastructure performance and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in 

  Terraform

   for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong understanding of 

  CI/CD pipelines

   and hands-on experience with 

  GitLab

   or 

  GitHub

  .
• Proficiency in 

  containerization

   tools (

  Docker

  ) and orchestration systems (

  Kubernetes

  ).
• In-depth knowledge of 

  AWS core services

  , including security and IAM configurations.
• Familiarity with 

  DevSecOps

   principles and security best practices.
• Proven scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or equivalent).

   skills to work across teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the SAS environment administration or similar analytical systems.
• AWS certifications or equivalent expertise.
• Experience with performance optimization and cost management in cloud environments.
