SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analysis & Design:

  Conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements related to transportation planning, execution, freight settlement, and logistics processes. Translate these into detailed functional specifications and design SAP TM solutions.

• Configuration & Customization:

  Configure various SAP TM modules and functionalities, including Freight Order Management, Freight Unit Management, Planning (manual/automatic), Charge Management (FCM), Freight Settlement, Carrier Collaboration, and Analytics.

• Implementation & Deployment:

  Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP TM implementations, including system setup, data migration, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination, and post-go-live support.

• Troubleshooting & Support:

  Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex issues within the SAP TM environment. Offer ongoing support, maintenance, and continuous improvement for existing functionalities.

• Integration:

  Ensure seamless integration of SAP TM with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP ERP/S/4HANA SD, MM, FI/CO, EWM) and external systems (e.g., carrier systems, track & trace solutions).

• Testing & Quality Assurance:

  Design test scenarios, create test cases, and conduct comprehensive testing (unit, integration, regression) to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of SAP TM solutions.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain detailed functional and technical documentation, including process flows, configuration guides, and solution designs.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with business users, project managers, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and operational excellence within the transportation domain.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• SAP TM Expertise:

  Strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience with the

  SAP Transportation Management (TM)

  module.

• Logistics & Transportation:

  In-depth understanding of logistics and transportation processes, including order management, planning, execution, and freight costing.

• Integration Knowledge:

  Familiarity with integration points between SAP TM and other relevant SAP modules (e.g.,

  SAP SD, MM, EWM, FI/CO

  ).

• Analysis & Problem Solving:

  Excellent analytical skills to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective SAP TM solutions. Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

• Implementation Lifecycle:

  Understanding of the full lifecycle of SAP system implementations and support.

• Communication & Collaboration:

  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with business users and technical teams. Ability to work collaboratively in a project-oriented environment.
