Role Overview

SAP PP (Production Planning) Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver

  SAP PP implementation

  and support activities across global projects.
• Perform requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, UAT, and go-live support for SAP PP.
  
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate production planning requirements into SAP solutions.
  
• Manage

  integration

  with key SAP modules including:

• MM (Material Management)

• SD (Sales & Distribution)

• QM (Quality Management)

• PM (Plant Maintenance)

• FI/CO (Finance & Controlling)

• Configure core PP functionalities such as:
  
• Master Data (Material Master, Work Centers, BOM, Routing)
  
• MRP / MRP Live
  
• Capacity Planning
  
• Production Orders
  
• Demand Planning
  
• Shop Floor Control
  
• Support S/4HANA migration, Fit-Gap analysis, and process simplification activities.
  
• Lead cross-functional workshops and solution walkthroughs.
  
• Mentor junior consultants and ensure high-quality project delivery.
  
• Ensure alignment with SAP best practices and clean-core principles.
  
• Prepare functional specifications, documentation, and training materials.
  
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide production support.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years

  of hands-on experience in

  SAP PP

  module.
• Minimum

  12 full lifecycle implementation projects

  (S/4HANA experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of PP integration with MM, SD, QM, PM, FI/CO and cross-functional processes.
  
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (Discrete, Process, or Repetitive).
  
• Experience in MRP, master data setup, production order management, and planning strategies.
  
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps and S/4HANA simplifications in PP.
  
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and lead PP tracks in implementation projects.
