SAP MM Functional Consultant

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Interact with business users to understand procurement and inventory management needs.
• Analyze current business processes and map them to SAP MM functionality.
• Propose SAP solutions and improvements based on business requirements.

SAP MM Configuration & Implementation

• Configure SAP MM components including Purchasing, Inventory Management, Vendor Master, Material Master, and Valuation.
• Implement end-to-end Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Integrate MM module with other modules like SD, FI, and PP.

Testing & Documentation

• Develop and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans.
• Document configuration settings, business process procedures, and functional specifications.
• Prepare end-user training materials and conduct training sessions.

Support & Maintenance

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for MM-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP MM system problems.
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and performance tuning.

Project Management & Collaboration

• Work closely with developers, other functional consultants, and business stakeholders.
• Support project planning, timelines, and deliverables.
• Assist in change management and ensure compliance with company policies.

Others

• Train the end users on new enhancements or functionality as required.
• Assist IT Manager-Applications in Make or Buy decisions while evaluating solutions;
• Adopt ISO policies and procedures.

Co-ordination with Vendors

• Co-ordinate with SAP and AMS partner for timely resolution of system issues

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in any business field, B.E computer science preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM configuration and implementation.
• Experience in full lifecycle SAP MM implementation experience.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
• Should be aware of PMI project management methodology.
• Strong English communication (written and spoken) skills.
• Abilities to work with others at all levels.
• Self-motivated and pro-active.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of procurement cycles, inventory processes, and invoice verification.
• Knowledge of integration points with SAP FI, SD, and WM.
• Ability to write functional specifications and provide technical solutions.
• Familiarity with ABAP debugging and customizing reports is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP S/4HANA functionality.
• Experience User Acceptance Testing and playing critical role in helping business owners to test the system in UAT phase.

Certification

• Certification in SAP SD module (SAP Certified Application Associate - Sales and Distribution).
