Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven

Senior SAP Integration Architect

with

8 12 years of experience

SAP ABAP development and HCM module integration

, including modern cloud-based and hybrid integration landscapes. This role requires deep functional knowledge of

SAP HCM submodules (Payroll, PA, OM)

and robust hands-on expertise in

system integration, SAP Portals

, and

cloud platforms

. Candidates must bring strategic insight into integration architecture and be comfortable working across on-premise and cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, design, and develop scalable
custom ABAP solutions
tailored for SAP HCM modules (PA, OM, PY).
Lead and govern
integration design patterns
between SAP HCM and external systems using
SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI)
,
SAP JCo
,
SOA Manager
, and
OData services
via SAP Gateway.
Define and manage
web services, RFCs, IDocs, BAPIs
, and remote function calls for seamless third-party connectivity.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP functional leads, and BASIS teams for
end-to-end interface delivery
and technical feasibility assessments.
Support
hybrid integration landscapes
across on-premise SAP systems and cloud platforms, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and performance.
Incorporate
API-first and event-driven
architecture principles using
SAP Event Mesh
and
SAP API Business Hub
.
Document technical designs, perform unit testing, peer code reviews, and optimize code for performance and scalability.
Ensure integration aligns with
security and governance best practices
, including
OAuth2, SAML
, and transport-level encryption.
Guide junior developers and contribute to defining
DevOps practices
using tools like
gCTS
, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment strategies.

Qualifications

8 12 years of SAP ABAP development experience, with a strong focus on SAP HCM (PY, PA, OM).
Proven experience integrating SAP systems using
SOA Manager
,
SAP JCo
, and
CPI (SAP BTP Integration Suite)
.
Solid understanding of
SAP Gateway/OData
,
IDocs
,
RFCs
,
BAPIs
, and
ALE
.
Demonstrated ability to design integration solutions with
cloud and on-premise systems
.
Expertise in
object-oriented ABAP
,
enhancement techniques
, and
performance tuning
.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex integration scenarios independently.
Excellent communication skills, with experience working in
global, hybrid delivery environments
.

Preferred / Desirable Skills

Experience with

SAP HCM to S/4HANA migration (H4S4)

, including greenfield/brownfield transition planning.

SAP HR Renewal

Experience in

DevOps for SAP

(e.g., gCTS, Jenkins, CI/CD).

Understanding of

containerized deployment environments

such as

Kubernetes/Docker

for custom middleware services.

Experience working in

Agile/Hybrid delivery models

with cross-functional global teams.
