Role Summary

SAP IBP Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement SAP IBP solutions across modules including Supply, Demand, Inventory Optimization (IO), and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP or OBP).
  
• Lead client workshops, requirements gathering sessions, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and end-user training.
  
• Collaborate with Sales and Alliances teams to identify and pursue new IBP business opportunities.
  
• Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
  
• Define and document CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) specifications and integration requirements with ECC and other ERP systems.
  
• Manage ECC master and transactional data related to planning processes.
  
• Contribute to building internal accelerators and reusable assets to improve project delivery efficiency.
  
• Support go-to-market initiatives to expand Bristlecone’s SAP IBP offerings.
  

Required Skills & Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of SAP IBP modules, specifically in Supply, Demand, Inventory Optimization (IO), and Sales & Operations Planning (OBP).
  
• Strong configuration skills: planning areas, key figures, views, application jobs, and integration with ERP systems.
  
• Experience in managing ECC master and transaction data relevant to supply chain planning.
  
• Ability to lead business-facing workshops and translate client needs into technical solutions.
  
• Hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP IBP implementation projects (minimum 3 years).
  
• Exposure to SAP APO or other supply chain planning tools is a plus.
  
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  
• MBA, MTech, or MS in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related discipline preferred.
  
• 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning with at least 3 years in SAP IBP end-to-end implementations.
