Role & responsibilities

Job Summary

The SAP FIORI Specialist with 3-5 yrs of experience will develop and implement solutions using SAP FIORI and Contract Accounting(CPA) , addressing complex business challenges while adhering to Jindal Group's standards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and optimizing FIORI applications, integrating them with SAP backend systems, and leading testing efforts. The specialist will provide expert support to users, perform in-depth debugging, and oversee team projects. Additionally, the role involves promoting best practices, managing code repositories, and documenting application specifications for operational support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and propose innovative solutions to address complex business challenges using SAP FIORI and related technologies.

2. Troubleshoot FIORI applications, extend standard FIORI apps using OData services, and ensure optimal performance and user experience

3. Oversee the integration of SAP FIORI applications with SAP backend systems, including SAP S/4HANA and other SAP modules.Utilize tools like Business Application Studio to build SAPUI5-based applications.

4. Configure and deploy FIORI applications across different environments, including development, quality assurance, and production.

5. Lead testing efforts, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing, to ensure application quality and reliability.

6. Implement odata services and work with S/4HANA concepts such as Core Data Services (CDS).

7. Collaborate with business users to understand and analyze their needs to design intuitive interfaces. Apply UX best practices to create responsive and adaptive Fiori apps across various devices.

8. Perform in-depth debugging to resolve complex issues and provide efficient solutions.

9. Oversee and support team members, ensuring effective project execution and adherence to best practices as defined by Jindal group.

10. Deploy custom ABAP T-codes on Fiori Launchpad.

11. Manage Fiori Launchpad configuration, including tiles, catalogs, groups, and roles.

12. Proven experience in features related to Contract Accounting(CPA) with ability to change and display contract accounts, payemnt information etc

13. Manage CPA fields such as account determination, account relationship, company code, payment/ tax slabs etc

14. Manage repayment requests, installment plans in CPA

15. Address challenges in data collection, workflows, timeliness, including ensuring auditability, SOX compliance to maintain the integrity of asset management process

16. Design user friendly mobile design with real time data access, reporting and analytics feature and intuitive user interface

12. Ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and security of SAP FIORI applications.

13. Promote and implement best practices in SAP FIORI development and user experience design.

14. Provide clients with full life-cycle project implementation consulting expertise including assessments, blueprinting, system build, testing and hyper-care support on go-live stabilization.

15. Develop and maintain code repositories according to established version management approaches and methods as defined by Jindal group

16. Document application specifications and produce operational support manuals

Minimum Qualifications:

•  Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, Information Technology or relevant experience in related fields

•  Candidates with professional SAP Certified FIORI Application Development Associate certification will be preferred.

Experience:

a. 3-5 years of hands on experience in ABAP/FIORI/ODATA Development work

b. Being part of at least 1 end-to-end SAP project

c. Experience in developing minimum 2+ UI5 Custom Apps for Client needs and the ability explain the purpose of them to business/clients.

d. 1-3 years of experience preferably in heavy industries like steel, power, renewable energy, or cement.
