  • Department: Global IT – SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) / Shared Services
  • Reports To: SAP Finance Lead / Global IT Manager
  • Position Summary
  • The SAP FICO Consultant – Global Support will provide comprehensive functional and
  • technical support for SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) across multiple regions within the
  • automotive group. The role requires deep process knowledge of finance and controlling
  • operations typical to the automotive industry, including manufacturing cost control,
  • intercompany transactions, and asset management. The consultant will work closely with
  • global process owners, shared service teams, and IT colleagues to ensure system stability,
  • continuous improvement, and development of new functionalities aligned with business
  • needs.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Functional Support & Incident Management
  • • Provide day-to-day L2/L3 support for SAP FICO users across global shared service
  • centers.
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to
  • SLAs.
  • • Analyze recurring issues and implement preventive or corrective system measures.
  • • Coordinate with other SAP module teams (MM, SD, PP) and external vendors for crossfunctional incidents.
  • System Configuration & Enhancements
  • • Perform necessary configuration and development activities in SAP FICO to support
  • new business requirements.
  • • Collaborate with ABAP developers for custom objects (reports, interfaces, user exits,
  • enhancements, forms).
  • • Design, test, and deploy system changes with full documentation (Functional Specs, Test
  • Scripts, UAT).
  • • Ensure system alignment with group policies, audit requirements, and automotive
  • industry standards.
  • Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes in shared services
  • operations.
  • • Recommend SAP best practices for cost control, profitability analysis (COPA), and
  • manufacturing cost management.
  • • Support global standardization of financial processes across plants, subsidiaries, and
  • shared service centers.
  • • Participate in global template rollouts, migrations, and S/4HANA transition initiatives.
  • Integration & Cross-Module Collaboration
  • • Ensure smooth integration between SAP FICO and other modules such as MM, SD, and
  • PP.
  • • Manage financial data interfaces with external systems (banks, payment gateways, tax
  • authorities, consolidation systems).
  • • Support intercompany processes, transfer pricing, and cross-plant costing relevant to
  • the automotive sector.
  • Governance, Compliance & Documentation
  • • Maintain accurate configuration and process documentation.
  • • Ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX, audit requirements).
  • • Support periodic financial closings, reconciliations, and reporting cycles.
  • • Provide training and guidance to end users and key stakeholders.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Functional & Technical Expertise
  • • Minimum 5–8 years of SAP FICO experience in support or implementation roles.
  • • In-depth knowledge of GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit
  • Center Accounting, and COPA.
  • • Expertise in Product Costing, Actual Costing, and Intercompany transactions.
  • • Strong understanding of integration with MM, SD, and PP modules.
  • • Hands-on experience with custom developments (enhancements, user exits, BADI,
  • reports).
  • • Experience with S/4HANA Finance is highly desirable.
  • Industry & Domain Knowledge
  • • Deep understanding of finance and controlling processes in the automotive or
  • manufacturing industry.
  • • Experience in production costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and material
  • ledger.
  • • Familiarity with shared service center operations and multi-country financial support
  • models.
  • Soft Skills
  • • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • • Excellent communication skills and cross-cultural awareness.
  • • Ability to work collaboratively in a global, virtual environment.
  • • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Education & Certification
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • • SAP Certification in FICO preferred.
  • • Professional accounting background (CA / CMA / CPA) is an added advantage.
  • Preferred Experience
  • • Prior experience in a global automotive manufacturing organization or large shared
  • service center.
  • • Exposure to SAP Solution Manager, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing systems.
  • • Experience with global financial consolidation and reporting tools.
