Job Description

SAP Delivery Manager | Gitakshmi Careers | Reinvent Your World SAP Delivery Manager

Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Management

Lead and manage end-to-end SAP project delivery (Implementation, Rollout, Support, Upgrades).

Ensure project delivery within agreed timelines, scope, quality, and budget.

Drive project planning, task assignment, monitoring, and execution. Implement best practices, standards, and methodology for SAP delivery.

Team & Resource Management

Manage functional/technical SAP teams across modules (MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, ABAP, BASIS, etc.).

Allocate resources based on workload and project priorities. Mentor and guide SAP consultants for performance improvement.

Stakeholder Communication

Act as primary point of contact for clients and senior management.

Conduct regular status meetings, steering committee discussions, and progress reviews.

Address escalations promptly and provide corrective actions.

Quality & Risk Management

Ensure SAP solutions meet organizational and client quality standards.

Identify risks and create mitigation strategies to avoid project delays.

Conduct UAT, SIT oversight and ensure proper documentation.

Process Improvement

Continuously evaluate delivery processes and recommend improvements. Support digital transformation initiatives using SAP best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8 10 years of overall experience, with strong SAP consulting/project management background.

Proven experience delivering SAP implementation or rollout projects. Strong understanding of SAP modules (Functional + Technical). Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills. Experience in Agile/Waterfall methodologies. PMP/Prince2/SAP certifications (added advantage). Technical Expertise

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end SAP delivery
Act as the primary contact for clients
Lead and coordinate SAP technical/functional teams (onshore & offshore) and manage third-party vendors
Drive continuous of SAP best practices
Ensure governance, compliance with ITIL processes

Must Have

8 12 years of SAP experience
Strong knowledge of SAP modules, integration, and support environments
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and client engagement skills
Strong understanding of ITIL framework and service management processes
Proven experience managing SAP Projects

Nice to have

SAP Solution Manager expertise
Certifications: ITIL Foundation, PMP/Prince2
Knowledge of SAP BTP, Fiori, or cloud-based SAP Solutions
Exposure to multi-vendor, global delivery environments
Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives
