Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Configure and integrate SAP CAR modules like POSDTA, OAA, and UDF with S/4HANA and ERP.
Manage POS transaction data flow via PIPE engine and standard IDocs (e.g. WPUUMS, WPUBON).
Develop HANA-based data models for retail analytics and real-time insights.
Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, IDoc failures, and integration errors across systems.
Enable omnichannel visibility through harmonized sales, inventory, and customer data.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support go-live activities.
Create documentation including functional specs, test scenarios, and config guides.
Collaborate with business teams, architects, and external vendors for seamless deployment.
Monitor and support master data replication and real-time data ingestion from stores.
Stay updated on SAP CAR upgrades, innovations, and retail best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

Total Experience
: 6.8 to 15 years in SAP ecosystem
Relevant Experience
: Minimum 5 years in
SAP CAR
with hands-on exposure to
POSDTA
,
OAA
, and
UDF
Industry Exposure
: Retail domain (IS-Retail, Omnichannel, eCommerce integration)
Technical Stack
:

SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository)
POSDTA (Point of Sale Data Transfer and Audit)
PIPE engine, IDoc processing (WPUUMS, WPUBON, etc.)
S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP BI, HANA modeling
Integration tools: SAP PI/PO, CPI, Fiori apps

Functional Expertise
:

Real-time POS data ingestion and audit
Unified Demand Forecasting and Omnichannel Article Availability
Retail analytics, inventory visibility, and sales performance dashboards
End-to-end CAR implementation and migration from POSDM

Project Experience
:

Minimum 2 full-cycle SAP CAR implementations
Experience in cutover planning, UAT, and go-live support
Exposure to global retail clients or multi-country rollouts

Soft Skills
:
Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration
Ability to lead workshops and train business users
Agile methodology familiarity and documentation discipline
