Lead backend development activities across the full lifecycle
design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
on SAP BTP.
Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Build secure and scalable APIs using
REST
and
OData
, including authentication/authorization with
XSUAA, roles, and scopes
.
Develop backend services using
SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
with
Node.js
, including CDS modeling and OData services.
Design optimized persistent layers using
SAP HANA
, HDI containers, schemas, data models, and SQL.
Work in
Cloud Foundry
environment — manage subaccounts, spaces, service bindings, manifest.yml, environment variables, and deployments.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
Perform troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and scalability improvements.
Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
Use Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes on SAP BTP.

Mandatory Skills

5+ years
of backend development experience using
Node.js, JavaScript, and SQL
.
Strong experience with
SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry or Neo)
.
Expert-level hands-on experience with
SAP HANA
, modeling, SQL, and HDI containers.
Experience building enterprise-grade applications using
SAP CAP
(Node.js).
Strong understanding of
REST/OData APIs
, authentication (XSUAA), and cloud security.
