SAP BODS Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  ETL jobs

  and

  data integration workflows

  using

  SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS)

  .
• Perform

  data extraction

  ,

  transformation

  , and

  loading (ETL)

  from various sources such as

  SAP ECC/S4HANA

  ,

  flat files

  ,

  databases

  , and

  third-party systems

  .
• Work on

  data migration projects

  involving SAP and non-SAP environments.
• Create and manage

  dataflows

  ,

  workflows

  ,

  scripts

  , and

  error-handling logic

  in BODS.
• Optimize BODS jobs for

  performance tuning

  and

  data quality improvements

  .
• Collaborate with

  functional and technical teams

  to understand data requirements and deliver accurate data mappings.
• Integrate BODS with

  SAP HANA

  ,

  SAP Data Services

  , and

  SAP Information Steward

  for data governance and profiling.
• Participate in all project phases

  design, build, test, deploy, and support

  .
• Develop and maintain

  technical documentation

  and

  best practices

  for ETL design and execution.

Required Skills and Experience

• 4 to 10 years

  of hands-on experience with

  SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services)

  .
• Strong experience in

  ETL development

  ,

  data migration

  , and

  data integration

  .
• Solid understanding of

  SAP ECC

  ,

  S/4HANA

  ,

  SAP BW

  , and

  HANA data models

  .
• Proficiency in

  SQL

  ,

  Stored Procedures

  , and

  Database Design

  (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
• Experience with

  data profiling

  ,

  data quality

  , and

  data cleansing

  techniques.
• Knowledge of

  job scheduling

  ,

  error handling

  , and

  performance optimization

  in BODS.
• Experience with

  Information Steward

  ,

  HANA SDA/SDI

  , or

  SLT

  is a plus.
• Familiarity with

  SAP Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC)

  and

  Data Services Management Console

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
