This role is for one of Weekday's clients Min Experience: 5 years Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP BODS Cloud Specialist to join our dynamic data engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of data integration and transformation processes using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) in combination with leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Databricks . This is a critical position for enabling seamless, scalable, and secure data pipelines that support the organization's growing need for cloud-based analytics and data management. The ideal candidate is someone who combines deep technical expertise with hands-on experience in both SAP BODS and modern cloud-based ecosystems. Key Responsibilities: Data Integration & Transformation: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL solutions using SAP BODS for structured and semi-structured data sources. Cloud Enablement: Integrate SAP BODS with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure , ensuring secure and efficient data movement between on-premises and cloud environments. Databricks Development: Build and manage data pipelines and workflows in Databricks , leveraging its capabilities for data transformation and real-time processing. Performance Optimization: Tune ETL processes for high performance and efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis of data issues and optimize for speed, reliability, and scalability. Data Governance & Quality: Implement best practices for data quality, lineage, and governance . Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all platforms. Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, business analysts, and cloud architects. Document data flows, mappings, and technical specifications. Project Management: Participate in project planning, estimation, and execution in Agile and DevOps-based delivery environments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BODS including job design, data extraction, transformation, and loading. Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms , specifically AWS (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift) and/or Azure (e.g., Data Factory, Blob Storage, Synapse) . Experience with Databricks for data engineering, notebook development, and real-time processing. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Shell. Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and ETL best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in SAP BODS or any major cloud platform (AWS/Azure). Experience working in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments. Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for data integration. Exposure to Agile project delivery methodologies.
