• System Installation & Configuration:

  Install, configure, and maintain various SAP systems (e.g., ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager) and their databases.

• System Monitoring & Performance Tuning:

  Proactively monitor system health, performance, and resource usage, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions for optimization.

• Upgrades & Patch Management:

  Plan and execute system upgrades, kernel updates, and support package installations with minimal disruption to business operations.

• User & Security Administration:

  Manage user accounts, roles, authorizations, and profiles, ensuring data security and compliance with company policies.

• Transport Management:

  Administer the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) to manage code and configuration changes across the system landscape (development, test, production).

• Backup & Disaster Recovery:

  Develop, implement, and test backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.

• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

  Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues within the SAP environment, working with other teams and third-party vendors as needed.

• Database Administration:

  Perform basic to advanced database administration tasks (e.g., space management, health checks, backup/recovery) for platforms like SAP HANA,

  Oracle

  , or SQL Server.

• Automation & Scripting:

  Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  Create and maintain detailed system documentation, procedures, and reports (e.g., EarlyWatch Alert) for knowledge transfer and auditing purposes.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Education:

  A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience:

  Proven experience (typically 3-5+ years, depending on the role level) in SAP Basis administration and relevant project work (implementations, upgrades, migrations).

• Technical Knowledge:

  In-depth knowledge of SAP system architecture (NetWeaver, S/4HANA), operating systems (Linux, Windows, UNIX), and database management systems (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).

• Soft Skills:

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Certifications:

  SAP certifications in Basis or related technologies (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) are a plus.
