🔍 Role Overview

Join a high-impact S/4HANA Private Cloud project focused on clean-core development and modernization. You'll build upgrade-safe extensions using ABAP Cloud principles, RAP, CDS, and Fiori elements—preserving SaaS agility while enabling scalable innovation.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Clean-Core Development

• ABAP Cloud-compliant coding using released APIs and whitelisted objects

• CDS views with annotations, OData services, RAP BOs (draft, validations, EML)
• Fiori elements UIs with metadata-driven annotations and enhancement logic

• Modernization & Enablement

• Refactor legacy ABAP to HANA-optimized SQL/AMDP patterns

• Wrap classic logic with released APIs; drive de-customization

• Quality & Lifecycle Management

• ABAP Unit tests, performance tuning (SAT/ST12, SQL Monitor)

• ATC checks, exemption governance, CI/CD collaboration via CTS+/gCTS

• Integration & Data Handling

• Service exposure for CPI/APIM, IDoc/BAPI handling

• Data migration/extraction via ODP, CDS, released APIs

• Documentation & Hypercare Support

• Technical specs, API documentation, operations handover

🎯 Success Metrics

• ATC clean code %, defect density, performance SLAs
• Upgrade readiness, transport success rate
• Reuse/adoption of shared services and CDS views

👥 Stakeholders

Work closely with Solution Architects, Functional Leads (FI/CO/MM/PP/SD/HCM/EWM/QM/PS/TR), Security, and Basis teams.

🧰 Tech Stack

ABAP Platform (S/4HANA PCE), ADT (Eclipse), RAP, CDS, OData, Fiori elements, ATC, gCTS/CTS+, Cloud ALM/SolMan

🎓 Qualifications

8+ years ABAP experience with S/4HANA

• Strong CDS, RAP, OData, BAdIs, SQL on HANA, performance tuning
• Bonus: gCTS, Git, CI/CD, Steampunk (BTP ABAP), Output Mgmt, Security/DCL

💬 Soft Skills

• Excellent communication in virtual teams
• Ability to mentor junior SAP resources in greenfield setups
