Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to join our offshore team. The ideal candidate will have 8 10 years of strong hands-on expertise in ABAP development across multiple SAP modules, with proven experience in implementation, upgrade, and support projects. You will work closely with functional teams, technical architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient, and high-quality ABAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement custom SAP ABAP solutions, reports, enhancements, interfaces, forms, and workflows.
Provide technical expertise in RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform code reviews, optimization, and performance tuning for ABAP programs.
Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and development standards.
Support SAP upgrade/migration projects including S/4HANA conversions .
Debug and resolve issues in collaboration with support teams.
Prepare technical specifications and documentation.
Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to junior team members.

Required Skills & Experience (8 10 Years)

Strong ABAP Development Expertise Minimum 8 years of core ABAP programming including classical and advanced ABAP concepts.
Hands-on experience with:

RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)
BDC, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, Enhancements
SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms
OO ABAP (Object-Oriented ABAP)
ABAP on HANA (AMDP, CDS Views, HANA procedures)
OData Services & Fiori integration

Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects .
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of integration with SD, MM, FI, PP, and other modules .
Knowledge of performance tuning techniques and optimization best practices.
Experience in Agile methodologies and offshore delivery models.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP Certification in ABAP or related areas.
Exposure to ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP) .
Experience with SAP UI5 / Fiori app enhancements .
Knowledge of modern tools like Git, Jira, Solution Manager, Charm .
