Sap ABAP Consultant Lead

Responsibilities :

1. Design, develop, and implement custom programs, reports, enhancements, and interfaces using SAP ABAP in line with medical logistics business requirements.

2. Collaborates with business users and other SAP technical staff to develop, implement and execute upon the requirements of the business through complex ABAP programming, testing, documentation and debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP S/4 modules

3. Work closely with functional analysts to understand and refine technical specifications.

4. Develop and implement data migration programs to ensure the smooth transition of data between SAP and other systems.

5. Create interfaces for seamless integration between SAP and external applications.

6. Optimize existing ABAP programs to enhance system performance and efficiency.

7. Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.

8. Analyze and resolve issues related to custom developments, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

9. Utilize debugging tools and techniques to troubleshoot and resolve ABAP-related problems.

10. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional analysts, SAP consultants, and end-users, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

11. Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and insights.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

1. Overall 8+ years of relevant strong expertise in the ABAP Development.

2, Work experience in design and development of ABAP developments.

3, Should have strong analytical and programming skills along with excellent communication skills.

4, Expertise in working in an onshore / offshore model , collaborating with functional owners and offshore team members.

5. Strong experience in RICEF ( Reports, conversion, enhancements and Forms).

6. Exposure / experience to advanced ABAP with HANA, FIORI , UI5 or ODATA is an added advantage but not desirable.

7. Expertise in working with the ABAP developments related to MM,SD, FI areas.

8. Good experience in object-oriented ABAP

9. Skilled in developing inbound/outbound interface applications using BAPI, Remote Function calls, ALE/EDI and IDOCs.
