Sanctions and Export Control Officer

Role Overview: As a Sanctions and Export Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and export control laws. Your primary focus will be on classification and licensing of products, technology, and software, maintaining export control procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to various teams within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Sound knowledge of ITAR/ECCN, HS Code, and SCOMET classification. - Support in SCOMET license applications, including EUCs and technical justifications. - Maintain license trackers and ensure adherence to license terms. - Support intra-company technology transfer reviews and export of technical data. - Maintain and manage export control procedures and records in line with the Internal Compliance Program. - Conduct restricted-party screening of customers, suppliers, and intermediaries. - Ensure compliance with US, EU, UK, and UN sanctions. - Deliver periodic training sessions and develop internal FAQs for compliance. - Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to ensure seamless export operations. - Interface with regulatory authorities and counterparts for license and documentation queries. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors in engineering/science/commerce; MBA or Law degree preferred. - 5-10 years of experience in Export Control/Global Trade Compliance. - Strong understanding of Indian SCOMET List, DGFT procedures, and DODP licensing. - Familiarity with various sanctions regimes and compliance automation tools.
