Job Description

Netcracker Technology is looking to hire a SAN (Storage Area Network) Storage Administrator is responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise-level storage systems that are connected through a SAN infrastructure. The role ensures high availability, performance, scalability, and data security for business-critical applications.

Required Experience:

Should have 8+ years relevant experience.
Good understanding of SAN Protocols (NVMe/SCSI/FC/NFS/S3/iSCSI)
Good understanding of Fabric virtualization, Storage virtualization Software defined Storage.
Experience in sizing a new storage designing a SAN based on application requirement.

Working Knowledge on any of the following Storage products and its features:
Dell PowerMax, Unity PURE Flasharray Flashblades NETAPP FAS AFF Brocade and Cisco Fabric Switches

Nice to have skillset:
Dell Power store, Data Domain IBM Storwize Flash system Storage integration with Openstack Experience on creating dashboards in Grafana Icinga monitoring tools. Linux Operating system (Storage addition, Multipathing etc), basics of Oracle DB Scripting skills on Shell and Python

Education

: bachelors degree in computer science/information technology or other Engineering discipline with relevant experience skills for the position.

Shifts:

Generally, start time is between 7AM 9AM IST. Howe'ver, flexibility

Actively monitor alerts tickets and resolve them.
Resolution of incident, change and problem tickets.
Troubleshoot hardware, host connectivity and performance issues.
Capacity management in terms of Storage space and Performance
Plan, Design and Size SAN Storage Environment.
Research Test new storage models as required for the business.
Data Migration between storages.
New Storage implementation.
Attend regular meetings with customers, vendors and internal teams.
Documentation of new tasks creating infrastructure diagrams
Automation of possible tasks.
