Sampling Coordinator

As a Sampling Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with design and merchandising teams to comprehend product vision, market trends, and buyer requirements, effectively translating concepts into viable prototypes. Your responsibilities will involve coordinating with fabric textile mills, dyeing factories, printing units, embroidery houses, and various vendors to ensure the timely availability of materials for sampling purposes. Additionally, you will assess the feasibility of designs in terms of cost, lead time, and production capability. Your role will also entail researching and suggesting new fabric bases, finishes, textures, and embellishments suitable for target markets. You will be responsible for planning and executing the development of product samples, encompassing initial prototypes and sales samples, while managing timelines for all stages of sample development. Monitoring sample accuracy to ensure alignment with buyer specifications, tech packs, and design references will be a crucial aspect, along with conducting internal quality checks on samples before submission to the buyer. Keeping meticulous records of sample status, inventory, costs, lead times, and feedback for future enhancements will be essential. You will be tasked with managing physical sample inventory and maintaining a well-organized sample room/display area. Coordinating the tracking and documentation of logistics for domestic and international sample dispatches will also be part of your responsibilities. The preferred candidate for this role should possess good knowledge of fabrics, trims, and textile processes (woven, knitted, printed, embroidered, etc.). Experience in Textile Sampling Job, particularly in the home textiles division, is considered advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP software is required. An eye for detail and aesthetics, coupled with a strong sense of product practicality, is essential. The ability to manage multiple developments and meet tight deadlines, along with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, is crucial. A proactive problem-solving approach, openness to change, and willingness to acquire new skills are also desired qualities. Being a team player is important in this role.
