Role Overview

The Store Salesman plays a key frontline role in ensuring an excellent shopping experience for customers, maintaining attractive product displays, and achieving store sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk-in customers politely and professionally.
• Explain product features, health benefits, and usage ideas to customers.
• Promote and upsell jaggery products, bhaji, superfoods & seasonal items.
• Achieve daily and monthly store sales targets.
• Maintain clean, attractive, and well-organized product displays.
• Handle billing, cash, and digital payments accurately.
• Manage stock levels on shelves and coordinate with the store manager for replenishment.
• Collect customer feedback and encourage repeat visits.
• Follow proper hygiene, dress code, and store discipline.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, energetic, and sales-focused attitude.
• Tech-savvy with basic knowledge of smartphones, POS systems, and digital billing.
• Comfortable using WhatsApp, simple apps, or Excel for daily tasks.
• Basic math and billing knowledge (POS machine or manual).
• Honest, responsible, and punctual.
• Knowledge or interest in healthy & traditional food products is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th / 12th pass; higher education preferred.
• Prior experience in retail / FMCG / grocery / sweet shop is a plus.
• Freshers with strong interest in sales are welcome.

Compensation

• Competitive monthly salary (₹12,000–₹15,000 depending on experience).
