Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and highly experienced Salesforce Technical Project Manager with 15+ years of overall experience, including a minimum of 8+ years in Salesforce architecture, development, and platform leadership. This role demands a rare combination of technical depth in the Salesforce ecosystem and end-to-end project management acumen. The ideal candidate will have a deep command over Salesforce technologies, a proven track record in managing complex, large-scale CRM projects, and the ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders alike. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead architecture decisions, drive execution, and own the delivery of scalable and secure Salesforce solutions.
Role & responsibilities
Salesforce Technical Leadership
- Architect, design, and implement end-to-end Salesforce solutions across multiple clouds including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
- Develop high-quality, scalable code using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and asynchronous processing (Batch Apex, Queueables, Future methods).
- Lead complex, enterprise-grade custom development efforts including multi-org architecture, multi-cloud deployments, and cross-functional integrations.
- Establish and enforce Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and technical governance across internal and vendor teams.
- Deep involvement in Salesforce release strategy, environment planning, and CI/CD pipeline implementation using tools such as Salesforce DX, Git, Copado, Gearset, or AutoRABIT.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, and Security teams to ensure compliance, scalability, and performance optimization.
Salesforce Configuration & Platform Expertise
- Expert in point-and-click configuration, including Flows, Process Builder, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, Custom Metadata, and Custom Settings.
- Design and maintain robust data models, sharing rules, role hierarchies, and security configurations aligned with enterprise needs.
- Lead the enablement of advanced platform features such as Einstein Analytics, Platform Events, Custom Permissions, Named Credentials, etc.
- Ensure alignment with Salesforce platform limits, licensing constraints, and integration patterns.
Project & Program Management
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of complex Salesforce initiatives including scope definition, estimation, planning, execution, testing, and production rollout.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring strong alignment between business goals and platform capabilities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk registers, RAID logs, sprint backlogs, and stakeholder communication frameworks.
- Manage cross-functional teams including developers, admins, QA, BAs, and integration partners, ensuring alignment to delivery timelines and technical quality.
- Conduct and lead scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives for Agile project execution.
- Maintain project health via metrics tracking, KPIs, burn-down charts, and provide regular updates to executive sponsors and steering committees.
- Proactively manage risk, change control, scope creep, and delivery bottlenecks, ensuring timely escalations and course corrections.
Preferred candidate profile
Salesforce Expertise (7+ years)
- Advanced hands-on skills with Apex, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce security architecture, data sharing models, and role hierarchies.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Integration Patterns, External Services, Named Credentials, and Middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, etc.).
- Experience with Salesforce AppExchange product evaluations, installation, and managed/unmanaged package handling.
- Hands-on with Salesforce DevOps, branching strategies, and automated deployments using Salesforce DX and metadata APIs.
- Proven experience in multi-org environment governance and managing Salesforce limits, governor thresholds, and performance bottlenecks.
Preferred Certifications:
- Salesforce Platform Developer I & II
- Salesforce Application Architect and/or System Architect
- Salesforce Integration Architecture Designer
- Salesforce Certified Administrator / Advanced Administrator
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM or equivalent) is a plus
Project Management Expertise (5+ years)
- Proven experience in managing and delivering enterprise CRM programs, with large user bases, distributed teams, and tight delivery schedules.
- Strong skills in project planning, estimation, cost tracking, resource allocation, and stakeholder management.
- Deep experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban), and exposure to hybrid or Waterfall methodologies where needed.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, vendors, and internal stakeholders concurrently.
- Strong command of tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Trello, ServiceNow, etc.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, including executive presentations and C-level updates.
Additional Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps pipelines (Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL) and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Shield, Event Monitoring, and platform encryption.
- Experience with ETL processes, data migration, and large-volume data handling (Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, Workbench).
- Understanding of master data management (MDM) and Salesforce data stewardship practices.
Preferred Experience
- Background in regulated industries such as BFSI or Healthcare
- Exposure to Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) and industry-specific CPQ/data models.
- Experience with Einstein, Tableau CRM, or integrating AI/ML platforms.
- Involvement in user adoption strategies, change management, and end-user training programs.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications are a strong plus.
