Role Overview
A Salesforce Specialist focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions within a specific Salesforce cloud product, such as Marketing Cloud, CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), or Field Service. They possess deep product expertise, configuring the platform to meet unique business processes and ensuring maximum value realization. This role requires a combination of technical configuration skills, functional understanding, and the ability to train and support users within their specialized area.
(Marketing Cloud): Design and build complex customer journeys using Journey Builder.
(Marketing Cloud): Create personalized email templates using HTML, CSS, and AMPScript.
(Marketing Cloud): Configure automations in Automation Studio and manage subscriber data.
(CPQ): Configure product catalogs, bundles, pricing rules, and quoting processes.
(CPQ): Implement advanced CPQ features like product rules, validation rules, and approval processes.
(Field Service): Configure service territories, work types, service appointments, and dispatching logic.
(Field Service): Customize the Field Service mobile app for field technicians.
(General): Provide expert functional and technical consultation within their specialized cloud.
(General): Conduct user training and create documentation specific to their area of expertise.
(General): Collaborate with integration teams for data flow between their specialized cloud and other systems.
(Marketing Cloud): AMPScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio.
(CPQ): Deep understanding of Product Rules, Pricing Rules, Quote Templates, Guided Selling, Approval Processes within CPQ.
(Field Service): Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Territories, Scheduling & Optimization, Dispatch Console, Field Service Mobile App configuration.
(General): Salesforce declarative configuration (Flow, Process Builder, Security Model) relevant to their cloud.
(General): Data modeling specific to their cloud's objects and relationships
Technical Skills (Desirable)
(Marketing Cloud): SSJS, API integrations with Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics 360 integration.
(CPQ): Advanced Apex for complex CPQ customizations, Integration with ERP/Billing systems.
(Field Service): Apex for complex FSL custom logic, Integration with ERP/Asset Management systems.
(General): Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) for their specific cloud.
(General): Understanding of industry-specific best practices for their cloud (e.g., retail for MC, manufacturing for CPQ, utilities for FSL).
Tools & Technologies (Desirable)
(Marketing Cloud): Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Cloud Pages).
(CPQ): Salesforce CPQ Managed Package, Salesforce Core Platform (Sales Cloud).
(Field Service): Salesforce Field Service Managed Package, Salesforce Core Platform (Service Cloud).
(General): Salesforce Setup, Data Loader, Workbench.
(General): Relevant external tools (e.g., Pardot, Docusign for CPQ, mapping tools for FSL).
Soft Skills (Required)
Business Process Understanding: Deep comprehension of relevant business processes (e.g., marketing campaigns, quoting, field operations).
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues within their specialized cloud.
Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering solutions that meet client needs and enhance user experience.
Soft Skills (Desirable)

Relevant Industry Experience
3-6+ years of specialized experience with the specific Salesforce cloud (Marketing Cloud, CPQ, or Field Service).
Proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing solutions within their area of expertise.
Experience working directly with business users to translate requirements into technical configurations within the specialized cloud.
