Job Title: Sales & Service Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer / Application Engineer (Sales & Service) Department: Sales & Marketing / Service / Engineering Reports To: Sales Manager / Service Manager / Regional Manager Location: Ichalkaranji, Maharashtra, India (This role typically involves significant field travel within Ichalkaranji and surrounding industrial belts, and occasionally PAN India as needed). Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales & Service Engineer to join our team in Ichalkaranji. This dual-focused role is crucial for driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, while simultaneously ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent technical support, installation, and after-sales service. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our complex technical products/solutions and customer needs, acting as a trusted advisor to clients, particularly within the textile and manufacturing industries prevalent in the region. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development: Identify and qualify sales opportunities by understanding customer needs and leveraging technical knowledge to propose relevant solutions [ 1.1 ]. Conduct product demonstrations and deliver compelling presentations to showcase the value and technical aspects of our products/services to potential customers (e.g., factory owners, plant managers, production heads) [ 1.3 ]. Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts to close deals [ 1.3 ]. Generate new business by following up on leads, researching target clients (e.g., textile mills, weaving units, processing houses, manufacturing plants), and managing the entire sales process from prospecting to closing [ 1.1 ]. Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings relevant to Ichalkaranji's industrial landscape to identify new opportunities. Technical Support & Service: Provide pre-sales technical support by answering technical inquiries, participating in sales meetings, and assisting customers with product selection and configuration [ 1.3 ]. Offer post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and providing effective solutions for product-related problems (e.g., machinery breakdowns, system malfunctions) [ 3.3 ]. Perform installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of products/equipment at customer sites as required, ensuring optimal performance [ 3.3 ]. Conduct product training for clients on-site or remotely to ensure proper usage, maintenance, and satisfaction [ 1.3 , 3.3 ]. Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for complex technical issues and present findings to management. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor [ 1.3 ]. Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely resolution of technical issues and proactive communication. Collect customer feedback and market insights to contribute to product development and marketing efforts. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and service requests in CRM systems. Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and application trends.
