Roles and Responsibilities
The Sales Officer will be responsible for driving sales growth for Awe Foods in the Hyderabad region by managing distributor relationships, expanding retail presence, and achieving monthly sales targets. This role requires strong market knowledge, relationship-building skills, and the ability to execute on-ground sales strategies effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Actively sell Awe Foods products (Sourdough Crackers, Monsoon Crisps, Rice Crackers, Sauces, etc.) to retail outlets, supermarkets, cafs, and restaurants.
- Track sales performance, share weekly reports with the manager, and suggest improvements.
2. Distributor & Retailer Management
- Work closely with the appointed distributor(s) in Hyderabad to ensure timely stock availability and order fulfillment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, modern trade outlets, and HoReCa (Hotel/Restaurant/Caf) partners.
- Ensure credit terms are adhered to and coordinate with accounts for collections.
3. Market Development
- Expand numeric and weighted distribution by identifying and onboarding new retail stores, modern trade outlets, and institutional buyers.
- Plan and execute in-store activations, sampling activities, and promotional campaigns to increase product visibility.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions to stay ahead in the market.
4. Merchandising & Branding
- Ensure proper placement of products, shelf space management, and brand visibility in stores.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to install point-of-sale material (POSM) where required.
5. Reporting & Analysis
- Maintain accurate records of calls, visits, orders, and collections.
- Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and share insights with the Area Sales Manager.
- Track stock levels and recommend replenishments to avoid stockouts.
6. Customer Service
- Resolve customer complaints in coordination with the distributor and internal teams.
- Provide feedback from retailers and customers to improve products and service.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 1-3 years of experience in FMCG Sales, B2B Sales, Field Sales, or Territory Sales.
- Strong understanding of Marketing principles and ability to apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for building strong relationships with customers at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards achieving common goals.
