CENTUM T&S, headquartered in France, is a business unit of Centum Electronics Group (Around 1000Cr turnover organization) offering a wide range of electronic and embedded systems design engineering services to international customers to help them realize complex products and sub systems. It includes design, development, qualification, value engineering, testbench design & manufacturing and many more services. Centum T&S is working with many top companies like Airbus, Thales, Hitachi Energy, GE, ABB, DANA, Alstom, etc.,

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be responsible for the delivery of the items assigned to you with quality and should interact with cross functional team and resolve the problem. You should excel in working with global stakeholders and have outstanding communication and leadership skills and report to the Project Manager.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across Indian Railways, Metro Rail Corporations, and key OEMs.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including RDSO, Railway Boards, Zonal Railways, CLW, ICF, RCF, BEML, Alstom, Hitachi, Siemens Mobility, Titagarh, Medha, Kernex, and metro operators like DMRC, BMRCL, Chennai Metro, Hyderabad Metro, Pune Metro, Kochi Metro, etc.

Develop a robust sales funnel and ensure consistent order booking in line with annual business targets.

Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and solution positioning for customers.

2. Bid & Proposal Management

Lead end-to-end bid preparation, including: Tender evaluation and Go/No-Go analysis.

Coordinating with engineering, finance, quality, and project teams.

Preparing technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer requirements.

Managing clarifications, compliance matrices, and pre/post-bid submissions.

Ensure competitive pricing strategies while maintaining profitability.

3. Market Research & Strategy

Conduct comprehensive market surveys, competitor mapping, and demand analysis for PIS and related electronic systems.

Track upcoming projects, tenders, policy changes, and investment programs in the railway and metro sectors. Provide periodic market intelligence reports and recommend business strategies.

4. Technical Knowledge & Solutioning

Demonstrate strong understanding of: Passenger Information Systems (PIS) Onboard and Station.

Train communication networks, MVB/TCN/Ethernet-based architectures. Display systems, audio systems, CCTV, and data networks. Railway signalling/telecom basics (preferred).

Work closely with internal technical teams to translate customer needs into compliant solutions.

5. Customer Engagement & Support

Participate in technical and commercial negotiations. Support project teams in customer interactions during project execution phases. Attend customer meetings, FATs, site visits, and product demonstrations as required.

Who You Are?

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ECE/EEE/Telecom/Instrumentation preferred) or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in Sales/BD in the railway electronics / rolling stock / metro / PIS domain.
  • Proven track record of managing bids and securing orders in the railway sector.
  • Strong network within Indian Railways, Metros, OEMs, and system integrators.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand railway system architectures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, tender portals, and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel frequently based on business needs.
