Sales & Cost Estimation

As a Cost Estimator at our company, your role will involve preparing cost estimates, quotations, and techno-commercial proposals based on client inquiries and specifications. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, layouts, and technical documents to extract required data for estimation. Additionally, you will perform material take-offs, quantity estimation, and unit conversions (metric/imperial) for accurate costing. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and techno-commercial proposals based on client inquiries and specifications. - Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, layouts, and technical documents to extract required data for estimation. - Perform material take-offs, quantity estimation, and unit conversions (metric/imperial) for accurate costing. - Coordinate with design, purchase, and production teams to gather input on pricing and feasibility. - Analyze client requirements and prepare optimal and competitive offers. - Support the sales team in client discussions, presentations, and proposal clarifications. - Maintain a database of supplier costs, material rates, and standard labor hours. - Prepare technical & commercial comparisons and assist management in final price approvals. Qualifications Required: - Strong knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks / or similar drawing reading and interpretation. - Hands-on experience with cost estimation, quotation preparation, and tendering. - Proficient in MS Excel, formulas, and basic engineering calculations. - Good understanding of mechanical components, materials, and fabrication processes. - Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills. - Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver within timelines.,
