Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify potential customers through calls, walk-ins, social media, and referrals.
  • Assist in maintaining lead databases and updating CRM tools.
  • Conduct outreach to warm and cold leads under supervision.

2. Sales Support & Member Acquisition

  • Explain gym membership plans, pricing, and promotions to potential clients.
  • Schedule trial sessions, facility tours, or demo classes.
  • Follow up with leads to convert them into active members.
  • Help in creating personalized membership recommendations based on client needs.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Greet and interact with prospective and existing members.
  • Maintain strong customer relations and handle general inquiries.
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing member feedback.
  • Support retention efforts through regular check-ins.

4. Marketing & Promotion Activities

  • Assist in planning and executing digital and offline marketing campaigns.
  • Help create social media content, stories, and promotional posts.
  • Participate in community outreach, events, or promotional stalls.
  • Support influencer or partnership-based marketing efforts.

5. Business Development Research

  • Conduct market research on competitors, fitness trends, and pricing strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships (corporates, schools, societies, events).
  • Prepare reports and suggest ideas for increasing brand visibility and sales.

6. Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist in managing membership documentation and payment records.
  • Coordinate with trainers, front desk, and management for smooth operations.
  • Ensure proper communication between sales, fitness, and operations teams.
  • Help organize files, forms, and business reports.

7. Event & Campaign Support

  • Help plan and execute fitness challenges, open-house days, and special events.
  • Drive participation by engaging with members and local communities.
  • Track event performance and prepare summary reports.

8. Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly sales reports.
  • Track KPIs such as leads generated, calls made, conversions, and revenue.
  • Present insights to supervisors to support decision-making.

9. Learning & Professional Development

  • Attend sales training sessions, mentoring, and internal workshops.
  • Learn negotiation, communication, and closing techniques.
  • Understand fitness business models, customer psychology, and retention strategies.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Educational Background

  • Pursuing or completed Bachelor's degree in

    Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, Fitness Science

    , or related fields.
  • Freshers with strong interest in fitness and sales are also encouraged.

2. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of sales, customer handling, and marketing concepts.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, and build rapport with customers.
  • Good presentation and customer service abilities.
  • Comfortable with phone calls, walk-in enquiries, and social media interactions.

3. Personality & Attitude

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and

  • Prior exposure to sales, customer service, telecalling, marketing, or gym settings is a plus.
  • Experience in sports, fitness events, or campus ambassador roles is beneficial.

  • Willing to work flexible hours including weekends based on gym operations.
