Safety Supervisor

Job Description – Safety Supervisor / Safety Officer Location: Vasai Office, Maharashtra (with site visits to construction projects) Work Timings: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Saturday Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Supervisor / Safety Officer to join our team. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards at construction sites, participating in toolbox talks (TBT), monitoring unsafe acts and conditions, reporting incidents, preparing safety observation reports, and participating in mock drills. The position is based at our Vasai office, with regular site visits. Key Responsibilities Toolbox Talk (TBT) Participation Attend and actively contribute to daily toolbox talks at construction sites. Assist supervisors in delivering safety messages and reinforcing safe work practices. Site Safety Monitoring Observe work activities to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Engage with site workers and supervisors to correct unsafe practices immediately. Incident Reporting Report all accidents, near-misses, and unsafe incidents promptly to the Safety Manager. Assist in conducting preliminary investigations to determine root causes. Safety Observation Reporting Prepare daily and weekly safety observation reports highlighting potential hazards, corrective actions taken, and follow-up requirements. Submit reports to management in a timely manner. Mock Drill Participation Participate in and support mock drills related to fire safety, rescue operations, and other emergency scenarios. Assist in documenting drill results and suggesting improvements. Compliance & Documentation Ensure adherence to statutory safety regulations, company safety policies, and client safety requirements. Maintain proper documentation of safety observations, incident reports, and safety meeting minutes. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Science with a Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent recognized safety qualification. Experience: Minimum 1–1 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor or Safety Officer, preferably in construction or industrial projects. Skills: Knowledge of construction site safety requirements and statutory compliance. Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills. Ability to handle safety documentation and prepare professional reports. Basic knowledge of incident investigation techniques. Other Requirements: Willingness to travel to construction sites from Vasai office.
