Safety Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our construction and infrastructure projects across multiple locations. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all health and safety regulations are strictly followed on-site and that a safe working environment is maintained for all workers and visitors. The role involves frequent site inspections, risk assessments, and the implementation of proactive safety practices.Key Responsibilities:Implement and monitor safety management systems at project sites.Conduct routine safety inspections and audits across all site activities.Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations.Identify potential hazards and take appropriate corrective actions.Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions for site workers.Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.Lead investigations of accidents or near misses and prepare reports with root cause analysis.Enforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety protocols.Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safe practices.Promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among all workers.Qualifications & Requirements:Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certification is preferred.Minimum 2-5 years of experience in safety roles within construction or infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of construction safety standards and regulatory compliance.Good verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and/or Gujarati.Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.Preferred Skills:First aid and fire safety training.Incident investigation and root cause analysis.Ability to work under pressure and in dynamic environments.Team player with strong leadership and organizational skills.
