Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science+ PDIS/ADIS in Industrial Safety

Essential Area of Expertise: Process Safety, Fire Safety, Emergency Response Plan

Desired Area of Expertise: Factory act & GFR Compliances, Safety Training, Internal IMS auditor

Critical/Special Exposure: Safety Audits & EHS compliances

Internal Interface (Designations): Production, Quality, Maintenance, Procurement & other functional departments

External Interface (Suppliers/Govt Bodies/Communities): Regulatory Bodies

Reporting to: EHS Head

Reportees (Function and Designation): 4–5 fire safety staffs

Purpose of the position: lImplementation of EHS management system as per statuary requirement.

Roles and Responsibility

Oversee EHS compliances for entire plant operations.

Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments & safety committee meetings across all functional departments.

Monitoring & testing of Fire Hydrant system, Fire extinguishers, fire alarm system and other fire protection system.

Maintain and update safety documentation, work permits records, incident register, Safety MIS reports etc.

Build emergency response team & conduct emergency mock drill periodically.

Conduct toolbox talks & safety trainings for employees and contractors.

Investigate near-misses, incidents, and injuries; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.

Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors.

Coordinate with cross functional departments for safe operation of equipment’s.

Promote a culture of safety awareness, Safety Initiatives and continuous improvement among employees.
