Job Summary:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures at the project site to ensure a safe working environment. The role involves conducting safety inspections, promoting safety awareness among workers, and ensuring compliance with statutory and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs at the site.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and regular safety training sessions for site personnel.
• Carry out site safety inspections and report unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all workers.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare and submit reports with corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, and inspection records.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to enforce safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with local safety laws and statutory requirements.
• Display safety signages and ensure emergency preparedness at site (firefighting, first aid, etc.).
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to identify potential hazards and take preventive actions.
• Knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Leadership and team coordination skills.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical preferred).
• Diploma in Industrial Safety (Mandatory).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in building/construction projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
