Job Title: Safety Officer
Reports To: Safety Manager / Project Manager
Location: balewadi, pune

Job Summary:

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment on-site by implementing health and safety policies, conducting regular inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of equipment, work areas, and practices.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to employees and subcontractors.
• Maintain records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure safe work methods.
• Ensure all workers have appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Review and update safety policies and procedures as needed.
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies regarding safety compliance.

Requirements:

• ADIS advance diploma in industrial safety with MSBTE certification
• Certification in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, prefered
• 2–5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in construction
• Strong knowledge of local health and safety laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed on construction sites and in office environments.
• May require travel between project locations.
• Must be available for emergency response when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
