Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Should conduct machinery risk assessment through HIRA and other techniques.
• Should conduct hazard identification & risk assessment techniques training.
• Should Conduct regular training to the ERT Team members.
• Monitoring Fire Extinguisher, Fire Hydrant and pump room.
• Visit & Monitoring Production shop floor, on a daily basis, to ensure safety measures are in place and monitoring & maintain legal compliance tracker.
• Visit & Monitoring ETP, STP & ZLD on a daily basis, to ensure Safety
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of EHS initiatives, incidents, inspections, and training activities for regulatory reporting and internal audits
• Regularly assess workplace conditions, machinery, equipment, and processes to identify opportunities for enhancing safety, reducing environmental impact, and optimizing efficiency.
• Monitor changes in EHS regulations and industry best practices, and advise management on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate inspections, permits, and approvals related to EHS matters.
• Assist in emergency response planning and drills, ensuring that employees are adequately trained and prepared to respond effectively to potential incidents.
• Monitoring the Hazardous waste report preparation.
• Should Conduct Basic Safety Awareness training to new joining employees.
• Reporting all unsafe act / unsafe condition / near miss to Management
• Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety violations, analysing root cause.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Evaluate environmental and workplace risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate them.
• Ensure to maintain the chemical storage area neat and clean
• Conduct the regular training for chemical management
• Monitor waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation efforts.
• Ensure employees are informed about environmental policies and emergency procedures.
• Evaluate environmental and workplace risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate them.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate / Diploma / PG in Industrial Safety / fire safety.
• Qualification in Environmental safety is added advantage
• Should have exposure towards sustainability development
