Safety Manager

Role & responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities

• Program Development & Implementation:

  Create and roll out comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs for warehouse operations.

• Compliance & Standards:

  Ensure adherence to local, state, federal, and industry safety regulations (e.g., OSHA), maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations. Maintain documentation of statutory compliance (fire NOC, safety inspection reports, incident logs). Liaise with government and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.

• Risk Management:

  Conduct regular risk assessments, identify hazards (slip/trip, equipment, lifting), and develop control measures and safe systems of work.

• Training & Awareness:

  Design and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for all staff, including new hires, on topics like equipment use, emergency protocols, and PPE.

• Inspections & Audits:

  Perform daily/weekly safety sweeps and audits of the facility, equipment, and personnel to spot and correct unsafe conditions.

• Incident Management:

  Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing reports, determining root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Emergency Preparedness:

  Develop and manage the Emergency Action Plan (EAP), including evacuation routes and procedures, acting as the primary contact during emergencies.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  Maintain accurate records, accident reports, compliance documentation, and provide regular reports to management on safety performance.

Preferred candidate profile:

Supply chain Industry Education.

• Should be graduate & having

  ADIS certification.

• Familiar with racking types of

  warehousing.

• Familiar with

  SOP
