Safety Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

2. Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

3. Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees and subcontractors.

4. Investigate incidents and near-miss incidents, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.

5. Monitor and enforce compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

6. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure safety is integrated into project planning and execution.

7. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training programs.

8. Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 3-5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in high-rise building projects.

2. Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH).

3. Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry standards.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
