Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure site compliance with health and safety regulations and company HSE policies.
• Conduct daily site inspections and risk assessments for MEP activities.
• Monitor and control hazardous activities, especially those involving electrical works, HVAC installation, fire protection systems, and plumbing.
• Coordinate with project and site teams to implement corrective actions on observed violations.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety induction, and training sessions for workers and staff.
• Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and safety violations; prepare reports with preventive measures.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend improvements.
• Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce usage.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and conduct mock drills.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of MEP construction safety standards and regulations.
• Strong observational and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with safety tools, equipment, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in preparing safety reports and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure.

Certifications Preferred:

• NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory/Preferred depending on client requirement)
• IOSH, OSHA, Fire and Safety Diploma
