Job Description: Marine Ship Supply, Safety, and Repairing Specialist

Overview: Uma Marine is seeking a dedicated and skilled Marine Ship Safety Specialist to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational readiness and safety compliance of marine vessels under our care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine safety protocols and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, service, and certify inflatable life rafts in accordance with SOLAS and manufacturer standards.
• Maintain and test lifejackets, lifebuoys, immersion suits, EPIRBs, SARTs, and other lifesaving equipment.
• Inspect and maintain firefighting appliances, including extinguishers, hoses, and detection systems.
• Conduct safety inspections onboard vessels and ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, and ISM Code requirements.
• Prepare inspection and service reports, maintain accurate documentation, and liaise with class societies.
• Assist with onboard safety drills and crew training when required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in marine ship safety procedures and techniques.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to perform duties effectively under pressure and in challenging maritime environments.
• Certification or training in marine safety, supply management, or vessel repair is preferred.
