Role Overview

ROV Operators

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate

    ROV systems

    for pipeline / sewerage inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Control robot navigation, camera systems, lighting, and sensors during live field operations.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate inspection data capture.
  • Perform

    daily maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting

    of ROVs and control systems.
  • Assist in

    deployment, recovery, and transport

    of ROVs to/from project sites.
  • Maintain operation logs, inspection reports, and media documentation.
  • Ensure

    equipment safety, cleanliness, and readiness

    before each deployment.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and assist during emergency recovery procedures.
  • Support engineers during

    testing, repair, and performance validation

    of robotic units.
  • Open to extensive travel and long-duration project assignments across India and abroad.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Experience in

    ROV operation, robotics handling, or remote inspection systems.

  • Strong understanding of

    mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics systems.

  • Ability to interpret video feeds, sensor data, and inspection software interfaces.
  • Familiar with

    PLC / camera control systems / joystick or console-based operation.

  • Knowledge of

    troubleshooting electrical / control circuits

    (preferred).
  • Basic computer literacy –

    MS Excel, data logging, and reporting.

  • Good English and Hindi communication; able to coordinate with site and client teams.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma / B.Tech

    in

    Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation / Robotics.

  • 1–5 years of experience

    in ROV operation, inspection robots, underwater vehicles, or field instrumentation.
  • Freshers

    with strong technical knowledge and aptitude in robotics / mechatronics may also apply.

  • Field-oriented, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and focus under pressure.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work in outdoor or confined environments.
  • Team player with a learning mindset and problem-solving attitude.
