RMA Service Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Service Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating patient care and ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility. This position requires a strong background in medical administrative support, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Service Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient services, managing intake processes, and supporting clinical staff in delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient services across various departments including dermatology, urgent care, and outpatient clinics.
• Manage the intake process for new patients, including gathering medical history and vital signs.
• Provide administrative support by maintaining accurate patient records in EHR systems and ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Assist with medication administration and monitor patient care activities in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication regarding patient needs and treatment plans.
• Utilize knowledge of ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical practices to assist in patient assessments.
• Support emergency medicine initiatives by coordinating services for patients requiring urgent attention at Level I and Level II trauma centers.
• Ensure a positive patient experience by providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; familiarity with hospital medicine and clinic experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic life support protocols and vital signs assessment is essential.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and understanding of medical terminology is required.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics (PICU), and those requiring OR services is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
